Assistive Technology refers to an equipment or software that helps a person with a disability to increase, maintain, or improve their skills. Assistive technology devices can be high-tech or low-tech.
To be eligible to request equipment you must have met with your DSP&S counselor and be enrolled for the current semester that you are requesting the equipment.
If you owe fees for a previous equipment loaned out, you will not be able to request another equipment until you pay off the pending fee. (You will have to pay at the Pay Window located at the rear of the Business Office (Building #10) (760) 355-6242
Equipment is loaned out at the beginning of the semester and must be returned by the end of the semester. Failure to return equipment may result in a hold on your account.
The equipment is loaned out on a first-come, first-serve basis, therefore we strongly encourage you to set-up services with your DSP&S Counselor as soon as the semester starts.
