About Housing

Welcome to Imperial Valley College Student Housing

Imperial Valley College Housing & Residential Life is a place of personal transformation for all student, which promotes each student's learning experience by creating safe, supportive learning environments for academic and personal success. Our mission is to help housing insecure students to successfully complete their academic goals at IVC. We provide temporary housing options and other community-based services that create opportunities to ensure equitable access to academic success. We operate a tiny home community and 12 RV housing units that serve to eliminate homelessness and housing insecurities as barriers experienced by our most vulnerable students. IVC Student Housing is committed to the total development of the resident within an inclusive community through student learning opportunities, programming, housing standards, and supportive learning environments in the residential communities.

Living on Student Housing at Imperial Valley College

As residents of Imperial Valley College Student Housing, students must abide by all Imperial Valley College policies, rules, and procedures; just as if they were on campus. In addition, students must abide by all Student Housing Policies (SHP) as well as the Student Housing License Agreement. These policies benefit the individual students, as well as the entire residential community.

All Residents should be aware of all policies affecting themselves and the lives of their community members. Signing the Housing License Agreement signifies that the resident agrees in general with the College's policies and procedures and lives their lives accordingly. Some policies are derived from law, and others are established by the College to protect the rights of individuals and/or the College.

It is expected that Individual Residents will work together as community. The Director of Housing and Equity has the overall responsibility for the functioning of the residential communities and student programs, including the enforcement of College discipline code. Individual Residents are responsible for working together to develop and maintain an environment that promotes academic, personal, and social growth.
