Participatory Governance at IVC refers to the participation of faculty, staff, and students in institutional decision-making. IVC values the voices of its constituent groups; good decisions are made when groups are able to share and listen to diverse perspectives.
Through IVC’s participatory governance, constituent groups communicate their perspectives and voices to those who have the responsibility for making final institutional decisions: the Superintendent/President and the Board of Trustees. IVC’s Participatory Governance Handbook serves as a resource guide to institutional decision-making processes and norms.
