SPRING 2019 Exhibit Schedule. Admission is always free!
IVC Art Faculty Exhibit 2019 Opens 4-7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 28. On display through Wednesday, March 20.
This show will feature the artwork of participating faculty who teach art classes at IVC. This will include Linda Freitas (western and equestrian art), Jorge Estrada (photographs), Bernardo Olmedo (graphic design and drawing), Luis G. Hernandez (drawing and installation), Dr. Cerise Myers (our newest art faculty member, teaching art history) and Carol Hegarty (painting).
Abstract Visions: Collective Memories Joy Cai & Eloisa Guanlao Opens 4-7 p.m. Thursday, March 28. On display through Wednesday, April 17.
Joy Cai holds a master's in fine arts in fashion from the Academy of Art University as well as a bachelor's of fine arts in design from the China Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing. She will be showing her Historical Fragments collage series combining newspapers with paint.
Eloisa Guanlao has a master's degree in fine arts from the University of New Mexico, Albuquerque. Originally from the Phillipines, Eloisa lives and works in San Diego. She will be showing her large wood and fabric sculpture, Holo Mai Pele.
IVC Student Show 2019 Opens 4-7 p.m. Thursday, May 9. On display through Wednesday, May 29.
This show is open to all IVC students who have taken at least one class during Summer 2018 through Spring of 2019. There is no cost to enter. The show will be juried by an outside qualified art professional and there will be awards.
The entry blank is available for download below and will also be available at the art gallery, the library, student affairs office and other locations on campus.

Bob Zahn, also known as 'Foto Bob' - SLAB CITY: Land of the Truly Free
David Zielinski: Land/Escape
Opens 4-7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 6. Runs through Wednesday, Sept. 26.
Bob Zahn photographs residents at The Slabs, near Niland, CA. He has a book of his photographs coming out soon.
David Zielinski is dean of Arts, Letters and Learning Services at IVC. He is an active photographer, primarily of desert landscapes.
Breaking Ground – A Community Show Opens 4-7 p.m. Thursday, October 4. On display through Wednesday, Oct. 24. This exhibit is open to all residents, students, faculty and staff at IVC. It is free to enter.

A Bit of Whimsy: Lisa Marie Barber, Katie McGuire & Ronald C. Walker Opens 4-7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1. On display through Wednesday, Nov. 28.
Lisa Marie Barber teaches art at the University of Wisconsin, Parkside, and is from Kenosha. She holds a master's degree in fine arts with an emphasis in ceramics sculpture from the University of Texas at Austin. She will be showing her ceramics and multimedia quilts.
Katie McGuire has a master's in fine arts in painting from Claremont University. She is an adjunct art faculty at Antelope Vallery College and teaches drawing at Riverside Community College. She will be exhibiting her mixed media and spray paint artworks.
Ronald Walker holds a master's in fine arts from the University of Kansas. He lives and teaches art in the Sacramento area. He will be showing his gouache on board paintings..
